Healing begins the moment a person feels heard.
Heard is a Christ-centered support group for women experiencing covert emotional and narcissistic abuse in Christian marriages or intimate partner relationships.
Is this Abuse?
Maybe I’m the problem?
Maybe there are no visible bruises. Hidden abuse is often difficult for others to see. But if you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, confused, and guarded, what you’re experiencing may be more than a difficult season in your marriage.
You’ve tried harder, prayed more, forgiven, adjusted, and questioned yourself—yet the same painful patterns keep repeating and nothing changes.
And now, maybe for the first time, you’re beginning to question the pattern instead of questioning yourself.
Maybe you’ve even turned to your church for help, only to be told to pray more, submit more, or keep trying harder to save the marriage. When abuse is present, that advice doesn’t heal—it can deepen the harm, leaving you questioning yourself, the marriage, and even your faith.
Heard is a safe place where we walk alongside women as they begin to understand the truth about what they’re experiencing, reclaim their voice and God-given identity, and begin to heal. Abuse is not a characteristic of a Christ-centered marriage, and faith should never be used to keep a woman trapped in a cycle of harm.
When the marriage you’re protecting is hurting you.
There’s something powerful about women gathering together after experiencing this specific kind of abuse.
After attending Heard, women have told us, “I found my people.” We each have our own story, but somehow, we all speak the same language. For many women, it’s the first time they feel truly understood.
As the confusion begins to lift, women start to reclaim what was slowly lost—their voice, their confidence, their ability to trust themselves, and the freedom to discover who God created them to be. Their focus begins to shift away from the person who consumed so much of their emotional energy and back toward their own healing, their relationship with the Lord, and the life God has for them.
For many, that also means returning to God’s Word without the distortion that may have been used against them. They begin to see the heart of a loving Father who never abandoned them, even when they were angry with Him or couldn’t understand why He allowed this season in their lives.
They begin to understand that God was never the author of their abuse. He was with them through it—and His heart broke with theirs.
Heard offers a confidential, Christ-centered space where women can connect with others who understand what they’re experiencing. Our groups are a place to find support, resources, biblical truth, and community as you navigate what comes next—at your own pace.
